Bound in original black cloth, gilt, in pictorial dust wrapper, which has some edge wear and chips at head and tail of spine; otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated throughout by colour photographs, including frontispiece. Map endpapers. Decorated by Maltese Cross vignette on recto of frontispiece. A well illustrated history of Malta by the French journalist, archaeologist and photographer, specialising in Africa, Bernard Nantet (b.1928). First edition published 1973.
